HEAT FIXING MEMBER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing member and its method of manufacture enabling a pattern processing accurately and surely removing only a resistive exoergic layer while securing high productivity and in which heating can be carried out well with little unevenness in temperature by adjusting the resistive exoergic layer to be a desired resitance value. SOLUTION: A heat fixing roller is provided with a hollow body 181, an insulating layer 183 with electrical insulation formed on a surface of the hollow body and the resistive exoergic layer 184 with specified electrical resistance formed on the surface of the insulating layer. The resistive exoergic layer is provided with a gap trench 186 and is extended in the axial direction containing displacement in the circumferential direction. A scaling resistor range 187 containing a cutting trench 188 for adjusting electrical resistance in the resistive exoergic layer is provided on an end part in the axial direction of the resistive exoergic layer.
