PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge reinforcing structure capable of dispensing with reinforcing construction work for an abutment and a bridge pier, facilitating construction, and providing an excellent earthquake resistant function. SOLUTION: Base parts 8, 9 made of reinforced concrete are formed on upper parts of faces on which the abutment 4 and the bridge pier 3 constituting an existing bridge 1 oppose, respectively, steel brackets 5, 6 are attached to these base parts 8, 9 in the horizontal direction, respectively, and a damper 7 is attached between the steel brackets 5 and 6. The damper 7 is arranged on the same axis as the steel brackets 5, 6 and has a vibration damping function in its axial direction. A plurality of dampers 7 are arranged at a fixed interval between the abutment 4 and the bridge pier 3. These dampers 7 are arranged along a horizontal face so that axial direction becomes parallel with a bridge girder and the dampers 7 become parallel for each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
