PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for offset rotary printing, capable of remarkably preventing offset rotary wrinkles from forming in a drying process after the printing, when the offset rotary printing is conducted, and excellent in a finish of the printing. SOLUTION: This coated paper for the offset rotary printing is made by applying pigment coat layers containing a pigment and an adhesive as main components to both surfaces of base paper, wherein the base paper contains specified mechanical pulp in an amount of 15-85 wt% based on a total amount of pulp components, is produced from pulp slurry into which a specific amount of cationized starch is mixed, and has a density of 0.55-0.70 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
