The present invention relates to a treatment process for human skin, comprising the topical application to said skin of a composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, a tetrapolymer of methacrylic acid, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate and C<SUB>16</SUB>-C<SUB>20 </SUB>alkyl (meth)acrylates, said composition being devoid of sunscreen agents. The invention likewise relates to the use of a tetrapolymer of methacrylic acid, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate and C<SUB>16</SUB>-C<SUB>20 </SUB>alkyl (meth)acrylates.
