Magnetoinductive mass flow sensor for a pipeline containing a conductive fluid comprises a measurement pipe (1), a magnetic circuit arrangement for generating an excitation magnetic field and measurement electrodes for measuring the voltage associated with the induced electric field. The measurement pipe comprises a mounting pipe (11) and an insulating liner (12) within the mounting pipe. The mounting pipe has at least a groove (115, 114) into which the liner extends. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for manufacturing a measurement pipe for a magnetoinductive mass flow sensor.
