<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass fine particle deposited body by which the fluctuation of the outer diameter or the like, which is caused by the change of the condition of the glass fine particle deposition, is decreased. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the glass fine particle deposited body by moving a burner line structured by arranging≥2 burners for jetting glass fine particles relatively to a starting material, depositing the glass fine particles jetted from the burners for jetting the glass fine particles on the starting material and carrying out the change of the glass fine particle deposition condition in a stage in which the deposition of the glass fine particles on the starting material proceeds, the change of the glass fine particle deposition condition is carried out 2 or more times so that the position of the burner in the longitudinal direction of the starting material, when the glass fine particle deposition condition is changed, is arranged at interval shorter than the interval of the burners for jetting the glass fine particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
