<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-fit terminal capable of improving holding force after being press-fitted to a through hole. <P>SOLUTION: When an opening portion 15 of the press-fit terminal 11 is formed, trapezoidal recess part 15a which has a width getting thinner toward the center from the both sides of the thickness direction perpendicular to the bending direction of a resilient contact portions 16a and 16b is press-formed by a punch and a die having trapezoidal cross-section and confronting to each other, and a bottom portion 15b which is made to have thin width and thickness by the recess portion 15a is punched using the press to form a slit 15c having a thin width of necessary minimum for the bending of the resilient contact portions 16a and 16b. Reaction force of the resilient contact portion 16a and 16b is raised by making the slit 15c have the thin width to sufficiently secure the height dimension in the bending direction of the resilient contact portions 16a and 16b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
