<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device and a computer program for managing data in a file system in a data processing device. <P>SOLUTION: A request for changing a data block in a file system is detected during a file system recovery time. In response to the request detection, metadata for describing a data block are written in a snapshot image. Data related to data block in the file system is copied to the snapshot image. After the data are copied to the snapshot image, the data block in the file system is changed.
