PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a machining method of a numerical control device that rapidly processes a workpiece that requires offset machining. SOLUTION: The machining method automatically carries out in sequence following steps of: measuring the difference between the actual shape of a machined workpiece and the target shape instructed in a machining program as the workpiece remains fixed in a machine; specifying the part left unmachined more than a predetermined reference value of the workpiece as a machining allowance according to the measured result to create an offset machining program for making the remaining part machined in the predetermined reference value; and machining the workpiece again according to the created offset machining program.
