METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COATED WIRE BODY AND ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a coated wire body while removing the cloudiness of the inside surface of a transparent tube with the suppression of the curing hindrance of a resin and an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus used for the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The coated wire body is manufactured by applying the resin on a wire body 2, passing the wire body on which the resin is applied through the transparent tube 41 having transmitting property to ultraviolet ray and irradiating the resin with the ultraviolet ray from an ultraviolet ray source 42 to cure the resin. When the wire body is passed through the transparent tube, a 1st gas containing an inert gas is supplied into the transparent tube to flow in a travelling region (α) of the transparent tube where the wire body is passed and a 2nd gas containing oxygen more than that in the 1st gas is supplied to the transparent tube to flow around the travelling region.
