PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella in a strong frame structure capable of suitably absorbing stress caused at the time of the swing of ribs. SOLUTION: The umbrella is composed by fixing an inside cap to the upper end part of a shaft, providing vertically arranged middle runner and lower runner on a slide runner freely slidably fitted on the shaft below the inside cap, pivoting the base end parts of the ribs to the inside cap, pivoting the base end parts of stretchers to the middle runner, pivotally connecting the tip parts to the middle parts of the ribs, pivoting the base end parts of support ribs to the lower runner and pivotally connecting the tip parts to the middle parts of the stretchers. The tip parts of the support ribs are pivotally connected via a slider to the middle parts of the stretchers and the slider is externally fitted freely slidably along the axis of the stretchers.
