PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray capable of preventing ash of a cigarette from being accumulated at the boundary part between an extinguishing member and a storing concave part. SOLUTION: This ashtray 10 has a cutout part 32 formed at an edge along a part of the inner edge of an opening of a container body 12 in the extinguishing member 14 to reduce the area of the boundary part X between the container body 12 and the extinguishing member 14 by just matching to it. The ash at the vicinity of the boundary part X is dropped from a space H for dropping the ash constituted by the cooperation of the container body 12 and a cutout part 32 of the extinguishing member 14 so as to be stored in a storing concave part 12b. As a result, the ash is prevented from being accumulated at the boundary part X, from which removal of the ash is difficult, by the combination of these two actions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
