The dolphin-shaped decorative handle (20) of the pen (100) is made of many interlocking sections (201-217). The sections have square-section pegs (21) fitting into sockets (22) in the adjacent sections. The handle may be repeatedly disassembled and assembled. It incorporates a holder (10) at the bottom end for a writing implement (30) held in place by a cap (40). The pen may be fitted with an LED lighting element in the body.
