摘要 <p>An angular velocity sensor comprises a tuning-fork vibrator, a drive portion provided on the tuning-fork vibrator, and a detecting portion for detecting the amount of deflection of the tuning-fork vibrator. The tuning-fork vibrator includes a first vibratory arm section having first and second ends and having a fundamental vibration frequency, a second vibratory arm section having first and second ends and having a fundamental vibration frequency, and a connecting section connecting the first end of the first vibratory arm section and the first end of the second vibratory arm section. The drive portion is provided on the first vibratory arm section, vibrates the first vibratory section, and has a drive resistance. The detecting portion is provided to either the first or second vibratory arm section and detects the amount of deflection of either the first or second vibratory arm section from the angular velocity applied to the tuning-fork vibrator. The ratio R1/R2 of the drive resistance R1 at the fundamental vibration frequency to the drive resistance R2 at a frequency different from the fundamental vibration frequency is less than one. This angular velocity sensor does not output any unnecessary signal even if disturbance occurs.</p>
