<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which corrects the distortion of a projection image caused by focus adjustment, tilt projection, or the surface shape of a projection object, only by arranging a plurality of cameras, and performs correction by matching the projected image to outer shape of a screen when the screen is present. <P>SOLUTION: The projector is provided with: a projecting device 101 including a projection lens; a focus adjusting part 102 for adjusting the focus of the projection lens; a zoom adjusting part 103 for adjusting the zoom of the projection lens; an imaging part 111 including a plurality of the cameras to image the image of the projection object; a projection area calculating part 112 for calculating a projection area corresponding to a distance from the projection lens, based on a zoom position which is detected by the zoom adjusting part; a three-dimensional position detecting part 121 for detecting the three-dimensional position of a prescribed object point based on the picked-up images of the cameras and the projection area calculated by the projection area calculating part by making the same object points on the picked-up images of a plurality of the cameras correspond to each other; and a distance detecting part 122 for detecting the distance from the three-dimensional position of the prescribed object point to the object point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
