PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust pipe device, generating sporty exhaust sound like a racing car. SOLUTION: A partition plate is provided in the interior of a communicating passage formed between an upstream main pipe and a downstream tail pipe, thereby forming exhaust sound generating passages divided in parallel in the stream direction of exhaust gas. When the sectional area of the main pipe is S1, the sectional area of an inlet part facing to the main pipe in the exhaust sound generating passage is S2a, the sectional area of an outlet part is S2b, and the sectional area of the tail pipe is S3, the exhaust pipe device is formed to satisfy the conditions: S1>S2a, S2a<S2b, S2a<S3, and S2b<S3, the inlet part constitutes a passing sound generating part, and the outlet part constitutes an echo sound generating part.
