PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide seal structure exerting initial sealing performance even in long-term use. SOLUTION: An outer periphery of a fuel injector 1 is provided with an annular groove 2 to which a distal seal 3 is disposed, which annular groove 2 is formed in such a manner that a rectangular groove part 5 having a groove bottom with a diameter approximately equal to that of the distal seal 3 on a pressurizing side E is connected to a tapered groove part 6 having a tapered groove bottom of a diameter tapered from the groove bottom diameter of the rectangular groove part 5 toward a side A opposite to the pressurizing side on the side A. The distal seal 3 after installed to the annular groove 2 is extended from the tapered groove part 6 to a rectangular groove part 5 side with tapered angle of the tapered groove part 6, and an inner peripheral face thereof is elevated from the groove bottom on the rectangular groove part 5 side, the outer peripheral face of an end of the pressurizing side E thereof is brought into contact with an inner periphery of a mounting hole 4 of a cylinder head.
