PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment mud collection system for collecting sediment mud sedimented on a water bottom, and to provide its method. SOLUTION: The bottom sediment mud collection method comprises the steps of positioning a casing pipe in ground, excavating and removing soil and sand in the inside of the casing pipe, lowering the casing pipe from a sediment mud surface to a ground surface by rotating the collecting blade with a shutter part being opened, scraping and collecting the sediment mud and dropping it into the casing pipe, dropping the soil and sand into the top end of the casing pipe with the shutter part being closed to cover the surface of the sediment mud dropped and lifting and collecting the casing pipe.
