PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal fittings to fix in a predetermined position a sliding door installed slidably in an opening of a house. SOLUTION: These are metal fittings to hold in a predetermined position a sliding door installed slidably in an opening of a house, which consist of a frame member of the house opening, a protrusion provided at the sliding door and its receiver. The protrusion has a case and a movable magnetic tongue piece installed swingably within the case so as to move coming out of and disappearing into the case. The receiver is provided with another case having a recess formed opposing the movable tongue piece of the protrusion to engage with its tip, a magnet housed in the case, an engaging hook provided within the recess and temporarily engaging with the movable tongue tip when it is inserted into the recess, and a spring energizing means to force the engaging hook to temporarily engage with the movable tongue piece.
