PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical parking equipment capable of sufficiently ensuring safety. SOLUTION: The mechanical parking equipment is equipped with a pallet driving means 61 moving a pallet, a card reading section 25 detecting an IC card 91 memorizing a pallet number in advance and, at the same time, reading the pallet number from the IC card 91 and a general control section 37 controlling operation of a motor control section 50 and the pallet driving motor 61, and the general control section 37 is so constituted that the motor control section 50 and the pallet driving means 61 can be controlled so as to move a pallet corresponding to the pallet number read by the card reading section 25 to positions entering and leaving the parking lot as a required pallet in the case the IC card 91 is detected after the card reading section 25 has read the pallet number.
