PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and temporarily hold an upper end part of a prefabricated pile inserted into a pile hole and having large diameter on the ground without affecting a pile hole digging process to perform joining work of prefabricated pile efficiently, facilitate centering work, and make this method effective for, in particular, the prefabricated pile having large diameter of 100 cm or more. SOLUTION: This prefabricated pile 1 forms an annular projecting bar 7 at a position which is distance L<SB>2</SB>from an upper end 2, and a side face on a lower side of this annular projecting bar 7 is used as a locking part 8. When digging diameter of the pile hole 12 digged to bury the prefabricated pile 1 when the annular projecting bar 7 is not formed is D<SB>5</SB>, height H of the annular projecting bar 7 is "axis diameter D<SB>1</SB>of the prefabricated pile + 2×H<pile hole diameter D<SB>5</SB>". The annular projecting bar 7 is not formed to increase surface area like a conventional nodular pile, and it is enough that it has a function for locking in a locking means loaded in the vicinity of an opening part of the pile hole 12.
