PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cycle time arithmetic device calculating positioning data operating in a cycle time by designating the desired cycle time, in a PLC or the like. SOLUTION: This cycle time arithmetic device has: a mouse 106a or a keyboard 106b of a personal computer 104 for inputting the desired cycle time when a cycle time calculated on the basis of the inputted positioning data is not a desired value; a positioning data setting device 105 calculating the positioning data corresponding to the desired cycle time on the basis of the inputted desired cycle time; and a cycle time calculation result display screen 709 displaying a calculated arithmetic result.
