PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting resin composition excellent in thermosetting property and a cured product thereof excellent in heat resistance, flexibility and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin composition comprises (A) a dicarboxylic acid represented by general formula (1) which is a reaction product of an aliphatic dihydric alcohol, terephthalic acid or its derivative, and a dibasic acid or its anhydride or its ester or its halide in a reaction ratio of 1.0:0.5:1.0 (molar ratio), and (B) a compound having three or more cyclic ether groups in a molecule. This composition is polymerized into a network structure by curing reaction at a relatively low temperature to provide the cured product excellent in heat resistance, flexibility and mechanical strength.
