PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ZnO single crystal which is suitable for a wide use ranging from a semi-insulating crystal to a P-type conductive crystal. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, a mineralizer generating a nitrite ion is added together with the other mineralizers, that is, potassium hydroxide (KOH) and lithium hydroxide (LiOH), in growing a ZnO single crystal by a hydrothermal synthetic method.
