PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesoporous body which can quickly diffuse an adsorbing substance and a reaction substrate in its micropores and which is useful as a absorbing material, a separating material, a catalyst carrier and the like, and specially, superior as an air purifying material for removing harmful substances such as VOC (volatile organic compounds) and the like in the air, and its manufacturing method, and an air purifying material using the mesoporous body. SOLUTION: This mesoporous body comprises a metal oxide and in which micropores having 2 to 10 mm central micropore diameters form a three dimentional channel of a 3D-Cubic Im3m structure by being mutually connected.
