PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer of simple structure capable of forming a die-cut label in any size by using a continuous label paper and capable of peeling the formed die-cut label, and to provide a label issuing method. SOLUTION: The label printer is provided with a cutting mechanism 20 for die-cutting the continuous label paper with a movable blade 31 and a cutting support member 21, and provided with a peeling mechanism 50 for peeling the cut die-cut label 64 by carrying the cut die-cut label 64 along a bent guide part 51 for guiding a label printing paper sheet 61 to bend it. A downstream side end of the cutting support member 21 in the carrying direction is formed into a bent guide part 51 to unify the cutting mechanism 20 and the peeling mechanism 50 to solve the described problem.
