PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation to sense the degree of rattling in a gear type speed reducing means. SOLUTION: The object transfer device is equipped with a driving means 25 connected with a running wheel 23 of a truck 10 furnished with a transfer part 11 able to transfer an object through the gear type speed reducing means and driving the running wheel 23 and applying the brake and a controlling means to control the operation of the driving means 25 on the basis of the running command information for the truck 10, and further a distance measuring means 29 is installed to sense the distance between the truck 10 and the reference position set on the running path of the truck 10, wherein the controlling means is actuated when a command of inspection command information is given and executes the amplitude inspecting process to determine the amplitude value as the deviation between the minimum and maximum of the distance between the reference position and the truck 10 on the basis of the sensing information of the measuring means 29 since the driving means 15 is actuated for applying the brake so as to stop the truck 10.
