PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a proton-conductive film improved in proton conductivity of the film itself and in joining property to an electrode.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the proton-conductive film comprises forming a film comprising a polymer compound containing an acidic ion-conductive component and subsequently subjecting the thus-obtained film to a hydrophilizing treatment or a peeling treatment. In the manufacturing method, the hydrophilizing treatment and the peeling treatment each comprises contacting the film with ozone or irradiating the film with ultraviolet rays.
