<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle adjusting device for a crank shaft of an internal combustion engine for adjusting an angle relationship between the crank shaft and a cam shaft, and to provide its method. <P>SOLUTION: The angle adjusting device for the crank shaft 80 of the internal combustion engine comprises a phase adjusting device having a drive mechanism for adjusting the angle relationship between the crank shaft 80 and the cam shaft 50 and a fixing device 90 arranged in a range of the cam shaft 50 for fixing the cam shaft 50.
