PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining method of superclean very low carbon steel with less inclusions. SOLUTION: Superclean steel is refined by feeding oxygen gas to molten steel in a vacuum tank during the vacuum decarburization to be performed by using a vacuum degassing device having a dip nozzle after modifying ladle slag, and reducing the concentration of oxides in slag by stirring the slag during the vacuum decarburization to be subsequently performed after stopping the feed of oxygen gas. In a case of an RH vacuum degassing device, a place Y shown in the figure is preferable for the gas stirring position in a ladle, and a place Z is further preferable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
