REFINING AGENT AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining agent with which highly efficient treatment with high productivity is actualized using a little quantity of the refining agent by considering a sold phase in slag and the optimization of both solid and liquid phases, and to provide a method of use thereof. SOLUTION: In the refining agent, each of average compositions of three components of at least CaO, SiO2and FetO is adjusted so that a range in which either or both of 2CaO-SiO2and CaO exist as the solid phase is obtained at a temperature after refining-treatment.
