PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a handbag made of a plastic having a rectangular parallelepiped shape, capable of being kept in a state folded into a rectangle and having a rectangular base when used and a hand part withstanding a large weight. SOLUTION: The handbag manufacturing method has a process (1) for forming a strip-like film having a pair of W-shaped gusseted parts provided to both side edges thereof while transferring a tubular plastic film, a process (2) for cutting the fold provided to the internal central part of one of the gusseted parts, a process (3) for punching four films in the side edge of the gusseted part of which the fold of the internal central part is cut at every width of the bag body by a punching blade and a punching receiving plate, a process (4) for inserting a welding receiving plate in the gap between the gusseted parts of both side edges to press hot welding blades having an almost V-shape in both side edges to linearly weld gusseted parts by two so as to form an oblique direction with respect to both side edges and a process (5) for welding the strip-like film at every width of the bag body.
