PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and convenient clothes presser capable of being safely moved. SOLUTION: The clothes presser comprises a fixed plate 1a, a movable plate 2 whose one end is rotatably connected to the fixed plate 2, a heating element 5 disposed either on the fixed plate 1a or on the movable plate 2, a lock device 11 for holding the clothes between the movable plate 2 and the fixed plate 1a, a base 4 projecting from the lower end of the fixed plate 1a to the front and rear sides for supporting the fixed plate 1a in the vertical direction, and casters 14 journaled to side ends of the back of the base 4 to be rotatable. The length of projection of the base 4 to the front side is set larger than the length of projection to the rear side. Even if the holding of the movable plate 2 by the lock device 11 should be insufficient, the clothes presser device can be safely moved or carried without accidental opening of the movable plate 2 because the movable plate 2 is located on the upper side. Moreover, as the length of projection of the base 4 to the front side is longer, the clothes presser device is excellently safe in the standing state when the movable plate 2 is opened.
