ANGULAR VELOCITY SENSOR AND AUTOMOBILE USING THE SAME

There is provided an angular velocity sensor having a smoothing circuit of a large smoothing time constant and capable of reducing the size of the angular velocity sensor and making it in an IC. The smoothing circuit (9) constituting the angular velocity sensor includes a first switch (11), a first capacitor (12), a second switch (13), a second capacitor (17), and control signal supply means (15). The control signal supply means (15) supplies a signal for controlling ON/OFF to the first switch (11) and the second switch (13). With this configuration, even when the first capacitor (12) and the second capacitor (17) have a small capacitance, it is possible to set a equivalently large smoothing time constant by reducing the frequency of the switching control signal of the control signal supply means (15). For this, when forming the capacitor into an IC, it is possible to reduce the area occupied by it and accordingly, it is possible to reduce the size of the angular velocity sensor and make it in the IC.
