TOGGLE CLAMP ASSIST TOOL

A method and apparatus of a toggle clamp assist tool (30) for a toggle clamp (20) having a clamp jaw (22), clamp arm (24), and a clamp loop (26). The toggle clamp assist tool comprises a base member (32). A clamp pin (34) coupled to the base and configured to engage the clamp loop of the toggle clamp. An actuator (36) is mounted on the base and configured to contact the clamp arm of the toggle clamp. A controller (50) is coupled to the actuator, wherein the actuator is selectively in contact with the clamp arm of the toggle clamp when the controller is activated. The actuator may be one of a fluid cylinder and an electric apparatus.
