<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity distribution control system capable of determining whether or not traveling environment of a vehicle is a street way at high accuracy and certainly performing switching to light intensity distribution for street way traveling. <P>SOLUTION: The light intensity distribution control system 1 has a photographing device 3 installed on the vehicle, photographing a range of predetermined height or higher in a periphery of the vehicle and not including a road surface in the periphery of the vehicle in a photographing range; an image processing device 4 for determining the number of light emission points in a predetermined range in the photographed image of the photographing device 3; and a light intensity distribution control device 5 for comparing the light emission points with the predetermined number when the light intensity distribution for usual traveling is selected as the light intensity distribution of a head lamp 6 and switching the light intensity distribution of the head lamp 6 to the light intensity distribution for street way traveling when it is determined that the number of the light emission points is as predetermined or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
