PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a version update method for communication oriented application programs, which has high cost reduction effects, and programs thereof. SOLUTION: The version update method for communication oriented application programs to update versions of communication oriented application programs, which are installed in a plurality of terminal apparatuses connected with a communication network and operate between at least two terminal apparatuses. The method includes a step for starting communications between two terminal apparatuses among the plurality of ones, a step for exchanging version information on the communication oriented application programs between the two terminal apparatuses in a communication state to compare their version information, a step for requesting to transmit the communication oriented application program file in a version, which is not owned, and a step for transmitting the communication oriented application program file in the specified version to the communication partner terminal apparatus.
