PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user not only to read out receiving mail in each content of conversation or discussion but also to advance the readout of the conversation or discussion in order or instruct whether the following conversation should be received or not after reading the initial sentence of the conversation. SOLUTION: A mail sorting part 14 sorts received mails into groups by using at least one of information related to the replay relation of each mail, information concerned with the quoting relation of the mail and the preparation date of the mail. A mail unread information recording part 13 records unread information indicating whether mail stored in a mail storage part 12 has been already read or not. An intra-group mail upstream/downstream determination part 15 determines the upstream/downstream relation of a conversation flow about a plurality of pieces of mail in the same group. A message display part 16 displays an unread message located on the most upstream position of the conversation flow out of unread messages belonging to each group in accordance with the determination result in each group.
