PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for an automobile capable of securing degree of layout freedom of a vent blow-off port. SOLUTION: Blow-off ports 16b of a defroster blow-off passage 16 is disposed on both sides in the vehicle width direction of a blow-off port 17b of an upper vent blow-off passage 17, and the blow-off port 17b of the upper vent blow-off passage 17 and the blow-off ports 16b of the defroster blow-off passage 16 are arranged in the vehicle width direction. Thus, the arrangement space of the blow-off port 17b of the upper vent blow-off passage 17 and the blow-off ports 16b of the defroster blow-off passage 16 is compactly collected on the front side of the vehicle, and the degree of layout freedom of vent blow-off ports 18b and 19b of vent blow-off passages 18 and 19 is secured.
