PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an article compartment to be newly installed through an effective utilization of a dead space within a console body. SOLUTION: A second article compartment 18 opened upward is arranged at a position near a first article compartment 16 arranged at a console body 12. The upper surface of the console body 12 is provided with a turning support member 60 turned toward the side of the console body 12. A support guide member 42 of a slide mechanism 40 is fixed to the upper surface of the turning support member 60. With the arrangement as above, when a console lid 14 is moved to the front stopping position without turning the turning support member 60, only the first article compartment 16 is released and the second article compartment 18 is covered by the console lid 14. In addition, when the console lid 14 is turned toward the side of the console body 12 as the turning support member 60 is turned, both the first article compartment 16 and the second article compartment 18 are released.
