The jumping device includes an energy converter formed by a gas cushion locked in a cylinder to compress and expand through hopping movements of the user. The standing support faces of the foot rests are about 40 cm below the upper lid of the cylinder and the handle bars are placed on the outsides. A compensating piston can be placed in the piston rod and the associated piston and flange faces are designed as pneumatic buffers.
