PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize proper navigation in accordance with vehicle velocity and realize proper and effective image display in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The detector 200 of a navigation system 1 detects the position and the velocity of a vehicle VC. A navigation system 100 calculates at any time, the distance between the vehicle VC and a guide point from the detection result of the detector 200. The navigation system 100 determines the output timing of guide information based on the vehicle velocity at the moment the distance beween the vehicle VC and the guide point becomes a specific value, and indicates a guide image on a display 450 constituted on the front window FW. The display 450 is constituted of a transparent display and indicates the guide image so as to superimpose harmonically on the external environment of the vehicle VC by transparently indicating the guide image.
