PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable navigation device preventing an operation impeding safe driving from being performed while it is used in a vehicle. SOLUTION: This portable navigation device is equipped with a jack detection part for detecting that a jack is inserted into a parking terminal part to output a jack detection signal, a power input part supplied with a first voltage from the vehicle or supplied with a second voltage different from the first voltage from the exterior of the vehicle, and a voltage detection part for detecting a supplied voltage to output a voltage signal denoting that the first or second voltage is supplied. A control part selectively limits operation signal input behaviors when a first state is present where a voltage signal is inputted denoting that the first voltage is supplied but the jack detection signal is not inputted, and/or when a second state is present where the voltage signal and the jack detection signal are inputted, the voltage signal denoting that the first voltage is supplied, but a parking detection signal is not inputted.
