PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously start slave synchronous processing of all slaves when one master and N slaves are connected to one transmission line and are periodically operated synchronously with periodic transmission. SOLUTION: In a synchronous communication system wherein one master 10 and N slaves 1 provided with transmission control parts 11 and 21 are connected to one transmission line 30 and perform periodic synchronous transmission, the master is provided with a synchronizing frame transmission destination address register table 14 in the transmission control part 11 and switches a transmission destination of a synchronizing frame to contents of the synchronizing frame transmission destination address register table to transmit the synchronizing frame in each transmission period, and each slave 1 is provided with a synchronization address register table 24 having a plurality of addresses stored therein, in the transmission control part 21 and starts synchronizing processing in the case that reception data meet one address registered in the synchronization address register table.
