PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure regulating valve to singly achieve, without requiring control pressure to be supplied from the outside, a pressure-regulating characteristic such that a regulated pressure value increases as flow increases. SOLUTION: A balance chamber 18 where a valve element 8 is acted upon by the pressure of internal fluid serving as thrust in closing direction is provided separately from a primary flow passage 30 and a secondary flow passage 38. A throttle part 40 formed in the primary flow passage 30 is in communication with the balance chamber 18 through a communication passage 42 and the static pressure of the fluid flowing through the throttle part 40 is guided into the balance chamber 18.
