PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus realizing shortening of waiting time (operated on demand) and power saving and having especially superior permeability of an OHT and fixing property for glossy paper. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an image forming means forming the image on fed transfer paper, a fixing means fixing by heat the transfer material on which an unfixed image is formed by the image forming means and a conveying path guiding the transfer material toward downstream of the fixing means, and is also provided with a rubber roller disposed in an image forming surface side of the transfer material on the conveying path and having an elastic layer at a width which is equal to or greater than an image range in the orthogonal direction with the conveying direction of the transfer material.
