PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of preventing reduction in a pressure-proof characteristic. SOLUTION: This compressor 10 is formed of a procedure of storing a motor-driven element 14 and a rotary compression mechanism part 18 in a vessel body 12A, a procedure of blocking up an opening 12C of the vessel body 12A by an end cap 12B, a procedure of welding the vessel body 12A and the end cap 12B, and a procedure of performing T6 processing on a sealed vessel 12. Thus, since the T6 processing is performed after welding the vessel body 12A and the end cap 12B, strength of a welding part of the vessel body 12A and the end cap 12B is not reduced, to thereby prevent reduction in the pressure-proof characteristic of the rotary compressor 10.
