PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat reduction effect of recirculating exhaust gas in a plate member for forming an exhaust gas recirculation passage interposed between an intake manifold and a cylinder head, enhance distribution performance to each cylinder and further improve intake air filling efficiency. SOLUTION: An EGR plate 6 comprising a plate inner 7 in a head side and a plate outer 8 in a manifold side is arranged between the cylinder head and the intake manifold. Inside the EGR plate 6, the exhaust gas recirculation passage comprising a common passage part 34, upstream branch passage parts 35, 36 and downstream branch passage parts 37, 38 are formed by a groove of a jointed face of the plate inner 7 and the plate outer 8. In particular, the common passage part 34 is arranged in an extending portion protruded below a jointed face of the cylinder head and the intake manifold. A cooling water passage 49 having a closed cross sectional structure is provided in a manifold side from the common passage part 34 inside the plate outer 8 of the extending portion.
