PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint used for connecting members together and a frame construction method for buildings using the same, without the need for any complex connection processing to building member ends to be connected together. SOLUTION: The joint (3) is used for connecting two bar type first and second members (110) and (120), which are arranged nearly perpendicular to a bar type third member (130), with the both lateral or vertical sides of the third member (130). The joint has a main body (141) and the third member (130) is fitted into its nearly U-shaped opening (142) in section. In a pair of opposing side plates (143) and (144) of the main body (141), a first connection piece (146) connected with the end of the first member (110) is provided at one side plate (143) and a second connection piece (150) connected with the end of the second member (120) is provided at the other side plate (144).
