PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing implement for laying a waterproof sheet, which enables jointing in a state of close adhesion by preventing the occurrence of an air lock in a part joined to the waterproof sheet, and which can bring about a good appearance even after laying. SOLUTION: This fixing implement for laying the waterproof sheet is used for joining and fixing the waterproof sheet, composed of a thermoplastic resin, to a structure to be waterproofed. In the fixing implement, a top surface of an implement base body (2) is coated with a thermoplastic resin; a coating resin layer (4) and the waterproof sheet are welded and joined together in an abutting area (5) of them; and at least one groove (7), at least one end of which reaches peripheral edges (5a) and (5b) of the abutting area (5), is provided in the abutting area (5).
